Pay : $33.61 - $52.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary :
Provides direct patient care and ongoing assessments, delivers education to research volunteers and documents in accordance with standards and regulatory guidelines while following the strict rigor of a research study and safety of participants.
Responsibilities :
Direct and manage care of the research participant for the duration of the research visit based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes. Administers investigational medication and blood draws per study requirements.
Collects, monitors and reports quality-of-care outcomes. Measures and provides input to the continuous evaluation and improvement of internal quality and safety processes, procedures and performance measures.
Ensures study compliance and facilitates communication, clinical decision making, error prevention and care coordination throughout protocol implementation. Documents research procedure, time and billing information to administrative personnel in a timely manner.
Anticipates and responds to changes in patient outcomes in the provision of care. Communicates and advocates research values and needs. Provides training for new team members.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements :
Required Licensure / Certification : State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
Minimum Experience : 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
