The Dispatcher coordinates service dispatching, inventory, and productivity to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and an efficient, profitable department. Schedules technicians for service calls and maintenance work as time allows. Operations manager may be consulted to coordinate the scheduling of major repairs or contract installations. Uses radio or cellular telephone to communicate with technicians regarding job assignments or job progress updates. Assists in controlling parts inventory by accurately recording parts used and assisting technicians with van / pickup restocking. Assists with customers questions about service calls; researches prior calls for customer clarification. Performs other work-related duties as assigned and needed.
