We are excited to invite applications for a full-time Registered Nurse (36 hours / week / nights) position in the Neonatal ICU. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders and administer medications with precision.
- Start IVs and perform essential treatments and diagnostic tests, ensuring thorough documentation as dictated by policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patient conditions.
- Continuously assess and evaluate patients' needs and responses to care provided.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment for patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered by physicians.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop tailored Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold high standards of professional nursing practice.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is mandatory.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques to enhance departmental and patient care quality.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
