San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position ofMobile Health Services Assistant - Spanish Speaking Preferred-Limited Term.AsaMobile Health Services Assistant, you will driveandmaintainmobile health vehicles, conduct initial intake / assessments at the scheduled stops, interview patients to obtain necessary information for registration and perform other duties related to patientassistanceand supportive services.You will be joining a team of dedicatedhealthcare professionals, includingphysicians,nursesand medical assistants. Youwill haveanopportunity to work closely with the community and provide valuable services to our patients.
There iscurrently one limited term vacancyin thePublic Health, Policy and Planning Division, both Mobile Clinics and Edison Clinic. This position isstationedin San Mateo, CA, but willregularlydrivemobile health vehicles throughout the County. Clinics are run out of eitherthe Edison stationary clinic,a mobile coach or sprinter van, complete with medical formularies. The 42-foot mobile health coach requires a Class B license tooperate.Clinichours range from 8 a.m. 4 : 30p.m. or from 11 a.m. 7 : 30p.m. with alternative work schedule flexibility needed, though on a consistent basis.

This is a limited term, at-will position. Limited Term Employees are assigned to assignments not to exceed three years. They receive medical and dental benefits,similar toregular employees, and a defined contribution retirement plan.

Education and Experience :
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is one year of office support experience, which involved direct patient contact in a community outreach or clinical setting.
Licensure / Certification :
Position requires possession of a class C California driver license or equivalent. Position designated to operate mobile van clinics or community outreach vehicles requires possession of a class B California driver license or equivalent.
