Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Neurosurgery!

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for patient care in our dynamic Neurosurgical Unit. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from complex surgeries and neurological conditions.

Location : Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Shift : Night shift, 36 hours per week, including every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Unit Overview :

In our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, you will :

Provide care for patients undergoing post-operative recovery from craniotomies, spine surgeries, and stroke treatments.

Engage with the latest neurosurgical techniques and comprehensive stroke care.

Experience a high-volume unit with opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in assessing patient needs.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Participate in discharge planning and quality improvement initiatives.

Foster a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Qualifications :

Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience preferred. New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply!

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift and transport patients safely.

Must be able to perform various physical tasks throughout the shift.
