POSITION SUMMARY

PTR is growing fast—and we're looking for a driven, ambitious, and coachable Business Development Associate to help fuel our expansion in commercial truck sales and fleet services. This is not a sit-and-wait kind of job. This is a hunting role —ideal for someone who thrives on cold calls, outbound hustle, and building a pipeline from scratch .

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own outbound prospecting : Make a high volume of calls daily to identify and qualify potential business customers.
  • Target & hunt : Research, identify, and pursue leads in key industries like construction, logistics, and transportation.
  • Create conversations : Use phone, email, and LinkedIn to book meetings and generate interest.
  • Collaborate with closers : Work alongside senior sales reps to push deals through the pipeline and learn the full sales cycle.
  • Sharpen your pitch : Help shape messaging, sales decks, and outreach templates that get results.
  • Stay organized & accountable : Track activities and progress in Salesforce and hit your KPIs with consistency.
  • Go where the action is : Attend trade shows, site visits, and networking events to build relationships and gather intel.
  • REQUIREMENTS

    MUST HAVE

  • 1–3 years of experience in outbound sales, telemarketing, customer service, or lead gen (B2B is a big plus).
  • Phone-first mindset : You're confident cold-calling decision-makers and booking meetings.
  • Hustler mentality : You don't wait to be told what to do—you take initiative and chase your goals relentlessly.
  • Curiosity & coachability : You're eager to learn the business, ask great questions, and get better every day.
  • Tech-savvy enough : Comfortable with tools like Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and LinkedIn.
  • Interest in trucks or fleet services? Great. If not, we'll teach you what you need to know.
  • Team player with a competitive edge : You celebrate wins, but you're always looking for the next one.
  • NICE TO HAVE

  • Previous experience in rental, trucking, construction, or equipment industries
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Familiarity with sales lead generation tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Apollo, etc.
  • Existing relationships or knowledge of customers in key commercial or industrial sectors
  • Willingness to relocate in the future for a field-based role
  • A long-term interest in sales, customer relationships, and business development
  • Location : Fort Worth Office

    Hours :

    Monday - Friday 40 hours per week between the hours of 9am to 6pm

    Compensation :

    $50,000 annually plus commissions (On Target Earnings are $65,000 / year)
