Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and Level I Trauma Center with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department.  Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.

GENERAL DUTIES :

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA / RMA) contributes to the efficiency of clinic operations and assists in facilitating the effectiveness of the physician(s) workflow. The CMA / RMA assists with patient care, patient intake at office visits, documentation, and administration of medications and / or vaccines as well as clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Ensures the cleanliness and safety of clinical areas, maintains stock of necessary supplies and equipment, and prepares the patient for examination when needed. Provides the physicians clinical assistance in addition to providing support to the front office staff. Prepares and completes referral orders and schedules patients for diagnostic tests.
