Physical Therapist (PRN)

Kendall Lakes Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 150 bed Skilled Nursing facility seeking an experienced and motivated is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist (FULL-TIME) to join our staff!

Job Description

As a Physical Therapist with Palms Care Center, you will perform and document an initial exam on every incoming patient in order to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention. You will also identify and document goals as well as anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.

Additional responsibilities include :

Testing and measuring patients’ strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity and respiratory and circulatory efficiency

Planning, preparing and carrying out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning

Instructing patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home

Attending staff meetings and facility meetings

Participating in continuing education classes

Requirements

Possessing a Physical Therapy degree and licensure in the state of Florida

Being certified in CPR

Being physically able to assist individuals

Having some computer literacy

Possessing strong listening, speaking, critical thinking and reading comprehension skills

Being socially perceptive

Strong time-management skills
