Job Details :

• Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM
• Provide nursing care to patients in compliance with recognized Standards of Practice and State Practice Act Standards
• Supervise and direct patient care in a single operating room
• Assess patient and family needs to provide quality care
• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for effective case management
• Prepare operating room according to patient and procedure requirements
• Position patients safely with proper padding and respiratory / circulatory protection
• Ensure correct prepping and draping procedures
• Conduct "time out" process prior to incision to verify correct patient, procedure, and surgical site
• Maintain asepsis during all procedures and present sterile items to sterile field
• Account for all sponges, needles, and sharps during and after procedures
• Anticipate surgical team needs and assist anesthesia personnel
• Maintain current knowledge, certification, and licensure
• Function as a role model for current and new staff
• Attend all required safety training programs
• Follow center exposure control plans for blood borne and airborne pathogens
