Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Austin, TX 78704 (Texas nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : 34-bed Telemetry Unit Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : October 20, 2025 End Date : January 19, 2026 Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1360 - $1460 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 (may be 1 : 5) Dress Code : Navy scrubs Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) nursing experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Proficiency with telemetry monitoring equipment (GE Telemetry, Welch Allyn Vital Signs) Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably MediTech Strong communication and team-oriented skills Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications preferred Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in a busy telemetry unit Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs for telemetry patients Administer medications and prescribed treatments accurately Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and patient care technicians to optimize patient outcomes Utilize wound vacs, CPM machines, external fixation, and bracing as needed Document patient care and assessments in MediTech EMR system Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate healthcare environment Our telemetry unit has earned multiple ICARE and Daisy Awards, reflecting our dedication to nursing excellence and compassionate patient care.
