About the Company

Cognito Systems, a Planned Systems International (PSI) joint venture, is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work at the Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, CA. Located 100 miles south of Reno, NV, 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe with Carson City, and Mammoth Lakes offering great recreational opportunities for skiing, fishing, and hiking at the National Forrest.

About the Role

As a civilian contractor working for Cognito Systems, you will serve as an Athletic Trainer, contributing to the mission of the United States Marine Corps’ Sports Medicine Injury Prevention (SMIP) Program. Your expertise will play a vital role in optimizing performance and readiness. Autonomous opportunity, take ownership of the program.

The premier training site for Marines preparing to serve in mountainous regions. Emphasis on cold weather and high altitudes provide the Marines the opportunity to experiment with state-of-the-are cold weather equipment.

Monday - Friday, 40 / hr week. No overtime and no travel!

Qualifications

• Degree : Bachelor's degree in athletic training or similar degree
• Education : Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
• Possess and maintain BOC certification
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Certification : Unrestricted state license / registration / certification in any of the 49 regulated states, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands to provide health care within the scope of practice for Athletic Trainers per state practice acts.
• Experience : Possess at least 5 years of demonstrated experience and must possess experience of at least 12 months within the preceding 36 months as a ATC with collegiate, professional, Olympic, or military personnel.
