Inspector II - Public Works Operations & Maintenance
The City of Colorado Springs is ready to welcome an Inspector II to the Public Works Operations & maintenance Team! As an Inspector II for this team you will perform technical preliminary interim and final construction inspections for assigned engineering projects. These projects include roads streets appurtenant structures catch basins storm basins bridges drainage facilities buildings sidewalks curbs and gutters cross pans and squared returns.

As an Inspector II for this team you will :
Conduct technical I nspects of construction replacement and repair projects in the public right-of-way
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate :
Knowledge of :
Operations services and activities of a comprehensive civil engineering inspection program
Basic engineering designs and construction management
Methods and techniques of concrete and materials testing and analysis; asphalt overlay repair and maintenance; and soil aggregates and associated pavement materials
Pertinent federal state and local laws codes and regulations
ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) regulations and requirements
Ability to :

Physical Demands : This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and20 lbs. frequently and sit stand and walk for extended periods. The ability to safely operate assigned vehicles is also required.
