Job descriptionPatient Age Group : 0-18 years Inpatient Care : Hospital-based pediatric services only Admissions : Average 3-12 admissions per shift; monthly admittance rate TBD Rounding Required : Yes, to ensure comprehensive inpatient care On-Call Duties : Beeper call with response requirements; details to be provided upon assignment Specialty Skills Required : Intubation, Conscious / Deep Sedation Various Pediatric Procedures (e.g., Central Line, Arterial Lines, Thoracentesis, Chest Tube Insertion) X-ray and EKG Interpretation Board Certification : Must be board-certified in Pediatrics Licensure : Active SC medical license Certifications : ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required Experience : Fellowship preferred Support Staff : Peds nursing staff on-site Credentialing Timeline : 30-45 days, with temporary privileges available Facility Level : Pediatric Level II; Stroke Certified Hospital Insurance Coverage : Provided by the vendor Holiday Call Coverage Opportunity : Perfect for those looking to fill short-term gaps and provide high-impact support over the holiday season. We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physician for a locum tenens position near Columbia, SC, with an immediate need over the holiday season. This is an inpatient-only assignment that involves call coverage with no outpatient duties required. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and skilled pediatric care to patients aged 0-18 in a hospital setting.
