The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role provides strategic direction, manages budgets and schedules, leads project teams, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements and quality standards.
Lead multiple construction projects or large, complex projects from preconstruction through completion
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cash flow forecasts
Oversee project teams including project managers, engineers, superintendents, and administrative staff
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment
Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and purchase agreements
Manage risk, claims, and dispute resolution strategies
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed
Lead project meetings and executive-level reporting
Support preconstruction efforts including estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews
Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, and closeout procedures
Mentor and develop junior project management staff
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8–12+ years of construction project management experience
Proven track record managing large-scale or multi-project portfolios
Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and cost controls
Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam)
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
PMP, CCM, or equivalent professional certification
OSHA 30 certification
Experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, or large-scale residential construction (customize as needed)
Strong financial and analytical skills
Combination of office and job-site work
May require travel between job sites
Extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines
