Job description

HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Memphis, Tennessee.

Title : X-Ray Technologist

Location : Memphis, TN

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07 : 00 – 17 : 30)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning, shielding, and safety during imaging procedures.
  • Verify patient identification, explain procedures, and maintain compassionate patient care throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete all charting per hospital policy.
  • Follow all infection control, radiation safety, and equipment maintenance standards.
  • Assist with departmental workflow and patient scheduling as needed.

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience required (3+ years preferred for first-time travelers).
  • Hospital or clinical radiology experience required; trauma and / or cardiology imaging experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard radiology procedures and patient care best practices.
  • Cerner charting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workflow efficiently.
  • Must be willing to work holidays as per facility policy (2 of 3 if assignment covers Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s).

    • Certifications & Licenses :

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT – R) – required
  • Active Tennessee State Radiologic Technologist License – required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required (must be current and from AHA)
