A Pain Management Physician is needed for a locum position to provide consulting services for inpatients in a rehabilitation hospital. The physician will manage spasticity and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on care plans, while also participating in weekly meetings. Required qualifications include board certification and a Connecticut license, with additional competencies preferred in EGM / botox and joint injections.

Facility is looking for 1 Locum to cover the Assignment until perm is found

Cover 18 inpatients as physiatry consultant (These patients are typical rehabilitation hospital (IRF) in patients with an internal medicine physician hospitalist as the attending performing all admissions and discharges and taking care of all non rehab medical issues. Physiatrist would manage things like spasticity and coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care (PT, OT, SLP, and rehab nursing) including participating in the weekly team meetings for these patients (on average 10 min per patient per week).

EMR = Epic

Weekend Call Hours :

Only need to be available to see any new admissions for Physiatry post admission evaluation within 24 hours of admission one weekend per month.
