Overview
Financial Writer to join a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Financial Writer crafts and creates compelling, insight-rich content that highlights the firm’s investment expertise, thought leadership, and strategic positioning across asset classes. The Financial Writer supports global marketing and communication initiatives, strengthening and amplifying the firm’s presence in the investment marketplace. This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire opportunity paying between $45-$55 / hour (depending on experience). The role supports a hybrid work-model, consisting of 3 onsite days and 2 remote days per week.
Responsibilities
- Develops high-quality, engaging content that showcases the firm’s investment expertise, product positioning, and market insights, serving as a key contributor to global marketing and communications.
- Translates complex investment concepts into clear, compelling, and actionable messaging tailored to diverse audiences, while reflecting the firm’s brand voice and strategic priorities.
- Provides editorial guidance to internal teams, including copyediting, proofreading, and content project management, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment in tone and style across all materials.
- Researches, writes, and refines a broad range of content—such as market commentary, product and corporate narratives, investment education pieces, white papers, brochures, and campaign materials—to support enterprise-wide initiatives and targeted business objectives.
- Expands the firm’s digital presence by creating original content and adapting materials for websites, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners—including design, video, social, paid media, client marketing, and sales enablement—to deliver cohesive, high-impact marketing assets that reinforce enterprise themes and strengthen brand positioning.
- Maintains strong knowledge of capital markets, macroeconomic trends, and the firm’s investment offerings across asset classes to ensure content remains accurate and strategically relevant.
- Stays current on industry developments, competitor activity, and shifting investor needs to continuously improve the relevance, differentiation, and effectiveness of the firm’s content strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Finance, Marketing, or related field (Required).6+ years of related investment writing or financial writing experience in investment management or financial services industry.Strong knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies, and asset classes, with a deep understanding of both Fixed Income and Equity markets.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.Ability to work collaboratively and independently.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Great time management, organization, and prioritization skills.Ability to leverage creative and analytical thinking skills.How to apply
