Apex Systems is hiring : Designer in Santa Monica

This role provides support services to all engaged departments : PR, Marketing, Production and development studios to produce high-quality art and design assets. Typical end use will include, but is not limited to, editorial, social, marketing, internal, and occasionally in-game use.

This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks / duties : Create original print and digital design assets, including packaging, event materials, social content, seasonal art, posters, web banners, email assets and / or ui, etc.

Generate other art assets, including reference materials for studios, 1st party online use, and marketing.

Update Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and PowerPoint projects and other assets received from external sources

Organize, archive, and back up projects

Work closely with the design leads to develop creative that is on brief and meets stakeholder needs

Implement feedback received from our marketing partners and other internal groups.

A keen eye for attention to detail and adherence to defined brand guidelines.

Confidently manage own timelines and workloads and communicate needs with lead and creative director.

Integrate 3d assets into static designs

Troubleshoot computer equipment, including Macbook Pro and PC workstations

Perform other duties, as assigned

Requirements :

• ? Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
• ? Experience with Figma and other Adobe products a plus
• ? Good eye for composition, framing, alignment and color
• ? Ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute the creation of original designs for projects
• ? Very basic knowledge of After Effects a plus
• ? Thick skinned, good listener and able to take constructive criticism
• ? Experience with social media and digital marketing campaigns and strategies
• ? Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize projects
• ? Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
• ? High level of attention to detail and strong communication skills
• ? Experience with PowerPoint. Google slides and Keynote are a plus.
• ? Bonus points if you have experience with copywriting, motion graphics, photography, typography, UX / UI, illustration and / or 3D modelling
• ? 3 to 5 years of experience. Video game industry experience a plus
• ? College degree in the requisite field or equivalent experience preferred.
