About The Position

Job Title : ICU RN Float Pool

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 1 year required; first-timers accepted

License : Must have a valid state license; no temporary licenses accepted

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; CPI and MAB preferred

Must-Have : Ability to float to various units as needed

Description :

Float Pool ICU RN will float toMed Surg / Tele units as needed.

This role may require floating up to 100% of shifts.

Weekend shifts are required and may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs.

The nurse will work in a busy ICU environment with patient ratios of 1 : 2.

Previous charge experience is preferred.

Experience with charting systems is required.

Skills needed include accessing ports, arterial line management, and managing ventilated patients.

Candidates must have experience in the management of dysrhythmias, central line care, and blood product administration.

The ability to provide care for chronic / acute renal failure, and perform phlebotomy and procedural sedation administration is essential.

Candidates must be proficient in high-flow nasal cannula, infection prevention, and isolation precautions.

The role also requires experience in the management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.

Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and rapid response teams.

The unit cares for adults and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses.

This position may involve working with specialty equipment and special procedures.

Travelers are expected to float between facilities as needed.

Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.

Potential candidates should be prepared to commit to working during significant holidays.

References covering the last year of supervisory experience will be required prior to the assignment.
