Job Responsibilities

• Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess each patient's unique needs and craft customized therapy strategies to help them reach their personal goals.
• Implement Evidence-Based Therapies: Use research-backed techniques to support patients' physical abilities, cognitive functions, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure patients receive holistic and well-rounded care.
• Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their caregivers in therapeutic methods that promote progress and self-management.
• Track Progress and Adjust Treatment: Monitor patient outcomes and adapt therapeutic approaches as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
• Encouragement for ongoing education and additional certifications is available

Certification Requirements

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
• Required certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
