Job Description :
Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer Physical Therapy services as prescribed by a licensed provider.Provide treatments to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, prevent or limit physical disabilities, and increase independence to improve patients' overall functioning within their environment.Apply Physical Therapy modalities such as ultrasound, NMES, iontophoresis, and skilled therapy techniques like manual muscle testing and joint ROM measurements.Instruct patients on the use of adaptive and assistive equipment.Supervise and direct Physical Therapy Assistants while maintaining open communication with the Rehab team.Perform appropriate assessments on patients based on physician orders and interpret results within the scope of licensure.Design treatment programs for patients with varying degrees and types of disabilities and multiple medical problems in accordance with accepted practice patterns and physician orders.Formulate realistic and appropriate short- and long-term treatment goals in collaboration with the patient and family.Observe and evaluate treatment effects, recommending changes to the physician as necessary.Ensure accurate and timely patient charges and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.Provide information related to departmental budget requirements for Physical Therapy needs to optimize patient care and service.Maintain timely and efficient documentation meeting current standards and policies, demonstrating thorough knowledge of computerized documentation.Perform all duties in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical or health care errors.Comply with all established safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.Participate in performance improvement activities.Perform other assigned duties.Holiday coverage is required for this position.
