POSITION STANDARDS

Must be able to read par stock lists, menus and chemical labels.

POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Anything listed here requires a pre-employment physical by Employee Health to determine if the employee is capable of meeting the requirements.

Physical Activity :

Frequently lifts objects of up to 50 pounds, i.e. dishes or food items.

Upper Extremity :

Must be able to work in warm and humid environment (sometimes exceeding 100°F) as well as walk-in coolers and freezers.

Must be able to push / pull tray delivery trucks and food carts.

Push / Pull / Lift / Carry :

The position requires the employee to be standing or walking 80% of each day worked.

PART TWO : FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Position Objective

Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary work area and assists cooks as needed.

Performance Expectation

Performs assigned cleaning duties.

Daily duties include : -thoroughly sweep and mop kitchen floors

• Keeps storage areas neat and orderly.
• Stock shelves, rotating and dating inventory.
• Participates on the evening meal and clean up.
• Operates dish machine following the meal.
• Assists co-workers in a variety of duties, i.e. cleaning, food preparation, special functions.
