Roofing Mix Operator (2nd Shift)

Crafco, Inc. is seeking a Batch Plant Mix Operator at our supply center in DeKalb, IL.

Crafco Supply Centers are retail and manufacturing stores that make and sell pavement preservation materials and equipment for crack sealing, pothole patching, sealcoating and more. Responsible for producing Crafco products to guidelines set forth by production control and materials engineering departmen t. The Batch Maker & Pack Line Operator is responsible for the batching, measuring, and mixing of materials as well as the proper operation of the manufacturing equipment of the packaging line.   We are hiring for 2nd shift, hours are approximately 3 : 00pm - 11 : 30pm with overtime available.

Specific Duties include :

• Mix various components of the product per batch form following all instructions as detailed by roofing engineering.
• All weights and measurements to be double checked to verify and ensure accuracy.
• Responsible for the efficient mixing and operation of the equipment to ensure proper batching times.
• Correctly completing production batch forms.
• Maintains work area in a clean orderly fashion informing supervisor of any equipment problems.
• Training and supervision of others working in roofing manufacturing when needed.
• Performs assigned duties in a safe, professional manner, cooperating with other departments, and inform the supervisor of any items which will affect quality, safety, schedule, attitude or performance of assigned duties.
• Responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of paperwork as required.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor including operating forklifts once trained & certified.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts when needed.
