Registered Nurse – Emergency Medicine (Emergency Department)
Location : Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI
Position Type : Full-Time | Government Contract
Work Schedule : Rotating 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, to include nights, weekends, and federal holidays. Schedule provided one month in advance.
Position Overview :
PPDG, Inc. is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (Emergency Medicine) to provide comprehensive nursing care within the Emergency Department at Tripler Army Medical Center . The selected candidate will deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established medical standards and facility policies, supporting the mission of the U.S. Army Medical Command.
Responsibilities :
Provide professional nursing care to emergency and critical care patients in accordance with established protocols.
Assess patient conditions, recognize life-threatening situations, and initiate appropriate interventions.
Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and maintain accurate documentation.
Operate and monitor emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Participate as a member of the resuscitation and trauma team as required.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Graduate of a nursing program accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) or the National League for Nursing (NLN).
International graduates must possess a valid Full Education Course-by-Course Report from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS).
Licensure : Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license from any U.S. state or territory.
Experience : Minimum of three (3) years of professional RN experience, with at least one (1) year within the past three (3) years in an Emergency Department or Critical Care setting (four or more beds).
Certifications : Current BLS , ACLS , and PALS (in-person certifications; online certifications not accepted).
Additional Information :
Duty hours will not exceed 12 hours in a 24-hour period or 80 hours within a consecutive 14-day period.
This position is mission essential and may require flexibility to meet operational needs.
