Position Summary
The Dual Director of Sales is responsible for driving sales and marketing strategy, brand positioning, and overall revenue generation across Rooms, Dining Outlets, and Events. This role manages a high‑performing sales team while ensuring brand awareness, market share growth, and an optimal business mix.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, interview, onboard, and manage a sales team of 6+ associates.
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans, including annual budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze market trends, competitive data, and demand to optimize pricing and business mix.
- Maximize revenue across group, transient, and banquet sales activities.
- Develop lead incentive programs and promote awareness of the hotels and brand within the community.
- Prepare sales reports, monitor performance, and execute yield strategies.
- Collaborate with hotel operations and marketing to enhance guest experience.
- Participate in Manager on Duty program as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, meeting planners, and local businesses.
- Drive group business by creating targeted strategies for corporate, social, and leisure segments.
- Oversee contract negotiations, proposals, and client communications to secure new business.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and marketing alignment across both properties.
- Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Train, mentor, and coach team members to develop skills and enhance performance.
- Attend local networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to promote the hotels.
- Implement initiatives to increase customer satisfaction, repeat business, and long‑term partnerships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in hospitality management or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience in the hotel industry.Advanced knowledge of hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue management principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and property management systems.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Strong leadership, decision‑making, and interpersonal skills.Preferred Skills & Experience
Expertise with Marriott systems (CI / TY, LightSpeed, Power of M) and multi‑property account management.Physical Requirements
