Production Manager

Job Title : Production Manager – Manufacturing & Team Leadership

Location : Grand Rapids, MI

Overview :

A growing, well-respected manufacturer in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day plant operations. This is a critical role overseeing production teams, ensuring on-time delivery, and driving performance across safety, quality, and efficiency metrics.

What You’ll Do :

Oversee daily manufacturing operations across multiple departments or lines

Lead and mentor production supervisors, technicians, and frontline staff

Ensure adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and production schedules

Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues

Drive KPI performance across OEE, scrap, downtime, and throughput

Support lean initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and team development

Manage staffing, scheduling, and cross-training initiatives

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain / logistics

What We’re Looking For :

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in leadership roles)

Background in discrete manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or capital equipment

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Experience implementing or sustaining lean / CI initiatives

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship

Bonus : ERP knowledge, bilingual in English / Spanish, technical degree
