Project Overview
The Licensing Renewal Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with Indiana state laws, regulations, and procedures related to the renewal and reinstatement of licenses for insurance producers (agents / brokers), consultants, and agencies. This role involves reviewing applications, verifying eligibility, maintaining accurate records, and supporting system and process improvements to streamline licensing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process license renewal and reinstatement applications for resident and non-resident producers, consultants, and agencies.
- Evaluate background documentation, including civil, criminal, and administrative records, to determine eligibility for renewal or reinstatement.
- Coordinate with the IDOI Enforcement Division, Vertafore / Sircon, NIPR, FINRA, and other state departments to verify potential disqualifications.
- Use systems such as MyCase.in.gov, NIPR Attachments Warehouse, I-Site, Sircon for States, e-PAL, INBiz, and FINRA BrokerCheck for application review.
- Process license reinstatement waiver forms and assist candidates with the reinstatement process, including requirements for the IDOI Laws & Regulations exam.
- Maintain and update IDOI's licensing renewal and reinstatement web pages.
- Collaborate with system vendors (Vertafore / Sircon, NIPR) to troubleshoot issues, address user concerns, and implement improvements.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding licensing renewal and reinstatement matters.
- Assist the Education Coordinator with processing continuing education (CE) due-date extensions and retirement exemption forms.
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of state insurance licensing laws, rules, and policies.Experience working with government or regulatory processes preferred.Ability to evaluate legal or compliance-related documentation.Technical & Soft Skills
