Security Clearance : Secret clearance (Mandatory). Candidates without active secret clearance will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide enterprise cybersecurity architecture and design support across SBA IT systems (cloud and on-premises)
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise information security engineering plan, architectures, and baselines.
  • Create and maintain Security Configuration Baselines (SCBs) and security architecture artifacts.
  • Design and document network, identity, data, and systems security architecture diagrams.
  • Conduct security impact assessments, AoA evaluations, and provide architecture reviews for SBA initiatives.
  • Support SBA's Zero Trust Architecture strategy and implementation
  • Collaborate with Agency IT, Privacy, Data, Enterprise Architecture, and Security teams to integrate security into IT modernization.
  • Provide expertise in risk management, NIST SP 800-37 / 160-based Secure SDLC, and emerging technology adoption.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or equivalent (required).
  • At least 10 years designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems in enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years managing security engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in network, firewall, IDS / IPS, LAN / WAN, SIEM, and cloud integration strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk assessments and compliance alignment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Location : Work will be primarily onsite at SBA locations in Washington, DC, or other designated sites. Remote work requires prior client approval. Local and occasional out-of-area travel may be required.
