Dental Assistant-Oral Surgery / IV Sedation

Our client, a leading healthcare provider in the dental industry, is seeking a Dental Assistant-Oral Surgery / IV Sedation to join their team. As a Dental Assistant-Oral Surgery / IV Sedation, you will be part of the Oral Surgery Department supporting dental residents and students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Dental Assistant-Oral Surgery / IV Sedation

Location : New York, NY 10010

Pay Range : $25-32hr

What's the Job?

Provide oral surgical assistance to dental residents and students during procedures

Assist in the administration of IV sedation and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures

Perform tests, prepare dental castings, and dispense medications and instructions

Perform minor dental and surgical procedures ensuring safety and compliance

Ensure the safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials

What's Needed?

At least 2 years of related experience in dental assisting or oral surgery

Graduate of a Dental Assistant Training Program

Knowledge of four-handed chairside dental techniques and dental lab equipment

Experience with IV sedation or general anesthesia in a dental setting (1-2 years)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
