Continuing Education Director

Job Title

This is a leadership position with responsibility for coordinating the delivery of workforce training and professional development to regional business / industry, government, and other agencies on a cost recovery basis. The position has overall strategic and operational responsibility for the staff, programs, performance, and execution of the mission and goals of the unit.

Job Functions :

• Lead the planning and delivery of non-credit workforce training programs, corporate training, professional development and personal enrichment programs. Oversee non-credit admissions and administrative operations to ensure efficient and effective management.
• Manage the unit's budget and profit / loss performance. Establish and monitor enrollment and revenue goals, ensure the development of positive revenue-generating programs that meet community and industry needs.
• Ensure the unit's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, institutional policies and accrediting bodies
• Build and sustain strong partnerships with business, industry, government, and community organizations to develop responsive, high-quality non-credit training programs.
• Participate in economic and workforce development councils and committees with external constituencies in the region.
• Perform special workforce projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements :

A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years related work experience in economic development, workforce development and / or career and technical education.
