The role of Fiber Design Engineer will be to create fiber circuits in 3GIS and supply splicing packages to the field for configuration. Update 3GIS with redlines returned from the field with any corrections needed.

The position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate map-related support of network footprints and facilities inventories, and boundary files related to facilities and routing. This will include supporting data exports from GIS platforms and GIS-related conversions, as well as timely and accurate inventory-related updates from our engineering vendors.

This position will provide support to sales, marketing, operations, and the corporate staff with the creation of maps and reports directly related to existing networks, inventories, and proposed networks.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
• Responsible for the maintenance and creation of map files in primary formats as required by FBL users.
• Management of Spatial data that supports online server applications used by the FBL teams.
• Responsible for the day-to-day data entry of the inventory of fiber plant data and support of internal customers’ needs.
