Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Los Alamos, NM 87544 (Northern New Mexico healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (19 : 00-07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed)

Weekend Hours : Every other weekend / as needed

Call Requirements : As needed

Unit : OB / GYN (LDRP / PP)

Orientation : Weekly, Mondays

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2100-$2250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license valid in New Mexico (New Mexico nursing jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery or Postpartum nursing experience

Required Certifications : ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS (current at submission)

Must meet New Mexico state fingerprinting / background check requirements prior to start (14-day waiver available)

Ability to float to other units as needed

Compliance with facility dress code (scrubs required)

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 4-bed labor and 4-bed postpartum unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages

Administer prescribed medications and treatments

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care

Maintain accurate records using OBIX, Medhost, and GUI EHR systems

Float to other clinical units as needed

Uphold a patient-focused, team-oriented, and eager-to-learn attitude
