Position overview

New Anesthesiologist opening with a growing group practice in New Bern, NC, supporting a 350-bed CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and / or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and / or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient\'s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Qualifications

Schedule & team

Shifts : 6 : 30am to between 3pm and 5pm with a waterfall schedule. Hospital-based 4 days a week with 1 day at Surgery Center. Associated call is required but can be taken from home.

Team : Nine anesthesiologists in a care team model focused on giving everyone a voice while delivering care excellence.
