Summary

The Sr. Purchasing Specialist will purchase all packaging components and labels for manufacturing as required in accordance with the Company's standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

Ensure parts, deliveries, and supplies are coordinated and arrive on time. Negotiate with raw material suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms of raw materials purchases for both production facilities, along with the purchasing of packing materials. Continuously monitor market conditions for potential cost savings, better term rates or ways to minimize cost increases and advise supervisor of such changes. Ensure the flow of raw materials and packaging components to production facilities is such that production schedules can be maintained. Coordinate the acquisition of materials and packaging components for private label customers. Enter daily activity into private label customers SAP system. Prepare monthly production reconciliation for same. Provide operational guidance to Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Regulatory as new products and / or packaging are being introduced. Clarify discrepancies with accounting regarding pricing and receipts. Conduct annual inventory audit reconciliation for production facilities, warehouse, and all outside suppliers. Establish and maintain material specification data on all materials and services purchased within MRP software. Establish and maintain MRP product structure files on all new products. Navigate and become expert in propriety ERP system and update information and pricing as needed. Maintain and extract data from ERP system to ensure system integrity and provide key reports using advanced spreadsheet formulas and practices. Prepare Annual EPA Pesticide Production Report and Annual ACRC Report. Work with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Regulatory groups as new products and / or packaging are being introduced. Continuously research and monitor market conditions for potential cost savings or to resist / minimize cost increases. Advise superiors of changes in market conditions that may / will affect cost. Participate in weekly production meetings. Coordinate with production schedules, product revisions and inventory with contract manufacturers. Update specifications and bills of material for finished goods. Conduct annual inventory audit reconciliation for both production facilities, warehouse, and all outside suppliers. Maintain an ethical and fair approach to our vendors, suppliers, and internal customers. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education : High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline preferred. Experience : 4+ years of prior purchasing experience. Skills must include experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is required, contract negotiations. Team player and ability to multitask. Specialized knowledge or training : Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Travel required in this position : None.

The pay range for this role considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to : skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographical location, and other organizational needs.

The estimated pay range for this role is $58,419 Min to $87,629 Max per year.

Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in a bonus incentive program associated with this specific role.
