A Brief Overview

Providing on-site interpretation services and on-demand sight translation services for Linguava's clients, patients, and family members.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for individuals and / or families who don't speak English at different predetermined locations for in-person medical appointments. Interpretation will include interactions during hospital admissions, hospital discharges, clinical visits including specialty clinics, outpatient surgeries (pre-op and post-op), outpatient diagnostics, schools, and sometimes emergency room visits.
• Follow all Linguava and client protocols described in the Linguava employee handbook and the national standards of practice. This includes but is not limited to educating patients, families, and providers on your role as the interpreter. Checking yourself in and out of appointments on time and staying for the full scheduled duration.
• Manage an organized schedule and ensure no appointments are missed or double booked.
