Patent Attorney

A company is looking for a Director of Intellectual Property & Transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with research & development to identify new inventions and implement patent protection strategies

Direct outside counsel on worldwide patent portfolio preparation and prosecution, and assist with patentability assessments

Develop training materials on relevant IP laws and identify training needs within the company

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a life science discipline, preferably with emphasis in organic chemistry and / or immunology

Advanced degree preferred

Juris Doctorate degree

Registration as a patent attorney with USPTO and member of a state bar

10-12 years of relevant experience in patent prosecution with global portfolios
