Job Title : HVAC / Refrigeration Technician

Job Description

The Refrigeration / HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and supermarket rack refrigeration systems across retail facilities. This role ensures optimal equipment performance and safety, supporting smooth store operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC / R systems.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration and HVAC issues using digital and manual tools.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, refrigerant usage, and inventory.

Work Environment

Work involves navigating narrow, confined spaces such as storage areas and mechanical rooms, and exposure to varying temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, wet, or drafty conditions. You may work on rooftops, scaffolding, or in ceiling spaces, and movement over uneven or slippery surfaces is required, especially during inclement weather. Overnight shifts and varying schedules may be required, with frequent travel between facilities.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ottawa, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $98696.00 - $98696.00 / yr.
