📍 Location : 100% Remote (must work PST hours, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM)
💵 Pay Rate : $41 / hr (W2, OT eligible)

Overview
We are seeking a Utility Relations Specialist to serve as the primary liaison with internal teams and external utilities. This role ensures compliance with utility agreements, regulatory requirements, and industry codes during site selection, network construction, deployment, and ongoing operations. The successful candidate will focus on timely submission and acquisition of attachment licenses and electric service connections, while driving process efficiency and resolving challenges to support fiber network deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage applications for attachment licenses within established regulatory timelines.
Facilitate drawings and construction documents with the design team related to nodes, power, and fiber plant construction.
Address and resolve tactical issues such as violations, delays, and NOC tickets.
Provide timely system updates and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities and serve as a subject matter expert on attachment requirements.
Ensure compliance with utility agreements during site selection, deployment, operations, and site modifications.
Research and advise internal clients on attachment conditions and regulatory requirements.
Participate in district and regional pre-project planning meetings.
Conduct pole audit data reconciliation.
Review and analyze utility records, extracting key data points, and develop dashboards / reports to track KPIs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience with a fiber company, telephone / power utility, joint-use matters, engineering, or rights-of-way.
Experience working in a corporate environment with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in data analysis and data mapping.
Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to multiple audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Wireless industry experience or relevant military background.
Experience using ServiceNow or similar systems.
Familiarity with state and federal telecommunications regulations , including FCC Order 18-111 .
