Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN – Travel Contract Summary

📍 Location :

Must live 50+ miles away

Cannot be currently employed (FT, PT, PRN) at CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facilities

🕒 Shift & Scheduling :

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts)

Schedule : Created by unit director (no self-scheduling)

Weekend & Holiday Requirements : Must work as needed based on facility needs

Orientation : 3 x 12-hour unit-specific shifts

Floating : To Med / Surg or ER (1 : 1) as needed

Scrub Color : Navy

🛏️ Unit Details : Beds : 4-bed ICU

Nurse : Patient Ratio : 1 : 2–3 depending on acuity

Charge Nurse : No dedicated charge; ER oversees ICU

Support Staff : No aides or PCTs

No monitor techs — RNs must interpret their own strips

Common Diagnoses :

DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure

Cardiac (rate & rhythm management), Medical Detox

Patients with Art Lines and CVPs
