The AES Clean Energy Field Operations team is looking for a Solar & BESS Technician I . The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have the ability to take direction from Field Service leads. As AES CE grows to become one of the leading IPPs in the industry, this role will provide an unparalleled opportunity for professional growth.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for assigned O&M activities associated with Solar and Energy Storage projects.
• Performs / assists with corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which they are qualified to safely perform for equipment including but not limited to installed Inverters, transformers, battery modules, DC Collection equipment, AC Collection and Distribution equipment and systems.
• Performs / assists with routine maintenance work (electrical troubleshooting and repair, instrumentation calibration, basic Inverter troubleshooting), up to their capabilities, as assigned and / or directed by supervisor and work orders from the maintenance management system.
• Understands and executes equipment clearances (LOTO) using set procedures. Follow and issue Job Safety Analysis / Work Authorization / ConfinedSpace / Hot Work Permits as per instructions of established safety procedures.
• Operates electrical and mechanical power plant systems.
• Participates in training as required. Some training may require limited travel.
• Assists with Plant Orders, Plant Procedures, Operating Instructions and otherdocuments as assigned.
• Operates Solar plus BESS facility in compliance with regulatory standards and reports to concerned entities as required.
• Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements.
• May perform work independently and / or in work crews, depending upon skills and experience.
• Must express emotional intelligence and be a collaborative team contributor.
