Full Job Description KASA Construction Inc. is seeking highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. You will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to execute grading, excavation, and other critical tasks on construction projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : - Safely operate a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, dozers, backhoes, skid steers, skip loaders, wheel loaders, and motor graders.- Perform daily inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.- Utilize GPS, base, and rover systems to accurately interpret grading plans and manage elevations.- Work with grading and trench teams to ensure precise cuts, fills, and installation of pipes.- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your team.- Execute mass grading and trenching, paying close attention to underground utilities such as wires and pipes.- Collaborate with landscaping teams for grading tasks related to site preparation and project completion.- Complete project tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting project deadlines. The ideal candidate should possess : - Proven experience and proficiency in operating a wide variety of heavy equipment.- Strong understanding of GPS systems and how to apply them in construction work.- Knowledge of grading plans, elevations, cuts, fills, and other technical aspects of site work.- Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to enforcing and following them on all projects.- Experience working with trench teams, mass grading, and pipe installation.- Ability to identify and avoid potential hazards such as wires, pipes, and other underground utilities.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to job success.
