Position : Catering Cook

Summary :
The Catering Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food for corporate and social events.
This role includes food preparation, cooking, packaging and maintaining kitchen standards in a fast paced, high-volume catering environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Food Preparation and Cooking
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and event menus.
- Cook hot and cold dishes for small and large-scale events.
- Ensure consistent taste, quality and presentation.
- Assist with menus prep, batch cooking, and special dietary restrictions.
Event Production
Package and label food for delivery and on-site service.Setup and break down food stations when needed.Support on -site cooking for events (oven, grill, reheating, plating).Kitchen Operations
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, workstations, and equipment.Follow food-safety standards (SERV Safe certification a plus).Monitor inventory and report shortages.Help with receiving and storing deliveries.Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with chefs, drivers and servers to coordinate timing.Keep open communication to ensure smooth event execution.Support other kitchen duties as required.Requirements
Experience
2 + years as a line cook, prep cook, or catering cook (Preferred)experience with high-volume cooking and banquet production.Skills
Strong knife skills and recipe execution.Ability To Multitask and work under pressure.Knowledge of food safety rules and kitchen organization.Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and stand for long periods.Personal Qualities
reliable, punctual detail-oriented.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Ability to work early mornings, nights and weekends as needed.
Compensation
$23-$32 Depending on experience.
Overtime available during peak seasons.
