Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift : 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) Job Description The Medical Surgical Oncology unit is seeking skilled Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care to medical-surgical patients with oncology histories. The role involves administering medication, monitoring patient health, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical oncology patients. Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy as needed. Monitor and manage patient health, including cardiac monitoring and response to emergencies. Manage and care for IV therapy and peripheral lines. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care plans. Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and safety protocols. Assist in the management of patients with complex conditions including DKA, AKI, sepsis, and malignant neoplasms. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting, with oncology experience preferred or willingness to obtain oncology certification. Current BLS certification is required. Expertise in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and managing central lines. Experience with chemotherapy administration and monitoring.
