Base pay range : $32,000.00 / yr - $102,800.00 / yr

Job Description

POSITION : Teacher (25-26)

REPORTS TO : Principal

POSITION TYPE : 10-month

COMPENSATION : Starting at $62,500 annually

In a Teacher Incentive Allotment Eligible course, TIA teachers can earn up to $102,800.

  • TEACHER INCENTIVE ALLOTMENT

YES Prep is TEA Teacher Incentive Allotment approved. Eligible teachers can earn up to an additional $32,000 a year based on performance on the Instructional Excellence Rubric and student growth, for up to 5 years if they remain in the classroom.

This means that, based on salary scale and TIA payouts, a TIA-designated teacher could earn :

  • 1 year of experience : $91,800
  • 5 years of experience : $96,800
  • 10 years of experience : $99,800
  • 15 years of experience : $102,800

    Responsibilities

  • Develop rigorous lessons in your content area, including 1 : 1 blended learning approaches, to engage students and support college readiness and equity.
  • Set ambitious goals with students and monitor progress with frequent, constructive feedback.
  • Track student growth and use data to create growth plans as needed.
  • Build constructive relationships with students and families through regular communication (phone, video, email, and district-approved portals).
  • Create a conducive classroom environment (physical or virtual) for learning and student development.
  • Collaborate with co-planners to align daily lessons and resources to student needs.
  • Meet deadlines for lesson plans, grades, and work samples.
  • Work with a team of teachers and leaders to provide consistency, support, and accountability.
  • Participate in Professional Development with content teams to improve student learning.
  • Offer weekly tutorials outside of regular class time for additional instruction and support.
  • Perform supervision duties to support student safety (e.g., morning, lunch, dismissal, detention, after-school).
  • Grow professionally through feedback from DOI, School Leader, and Administration.
  • Demonstrate resilience, accountability, and a positive example for students.
  • Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing for campus leaders, collaborators, students, and / or parents.
  • Provide personal care services as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by THECB.
  • Texas Educator Certification, or willingness to join ACP to obtain certification.
  • Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology.
  • Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology platforms.
