Medication Technician / Caregiver

Columbia Cottage in Palmyra, PA is looking to hire experienced Medication Technicians / Caregivers to help improve the quality of life for the residents in our care. This position starts at a competitive wage of $19.25 / hour . We provide amazing benefits and perks for both full and part-time positions  on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) :

• Prepares medications for Residents
• Assists Residents in taking medications, as per physician order
• Monitors for effectiveness and untoward effects of medications, and provides education to Residents.
• Obtains blood sugars, vital signs and other bio measurements as ordered
• Motivates, encourages and provides positive feedback to the Residents when assisting with medications
• Follows established policies and procedures for record-keeping on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and any associated forms related to assisting the Resident with medications
• Provides hands-on care to Residents

All positions, unless otherwise indicated, have an every other weekend and every other holiday obligation

Shift Dif ferentials : Evening : $2.00, Night : $2.00
