Overview
Field Service Technician — Full-time with overtime. Based out of Sundance, Wyoming; travel and extended overnight stays at various locations in the region may be required. Wage : $45.00+ per hour (based on experience and qualifications). MSHA certification is required to work in quarries, gravel pits, construction sites, and aggregate operations. This position reports to the Equipment Manager and has no supervisory responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities
Perform a full range of repair and modification work on heavy equipment and vehicles, including, but not limited to light duty, heavy-duty trucks, backhoes, loaders, paving equipment, and miscellaneousRepair tires, wheels, wheel bearings, idler wheels, idler bearings, oil seals and hydraulic and air brakesDiagnose and repair emission control systems and electronic machine systemsPerform minor repairs on engines, transmissions, transfers, and related electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systemsExamine parts for damage or excessive wear using testing equipment such as compression testers, computer software tools, test meters, micrometers, gauges, and advanced diagnosticsUse technical manuals, publications, and equipment-specific programs to identify and order repair partsOperate large heavy equipment and trucks to diagnose operational specificationsWillingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustivePosition Requirements
Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug testClass A CDL and current Medical DOT cardFamiliarity with Caterpillar and John Deere, Bobcat, JLG, Kenworth, and Peterbilt equipmentProficiency with computer diagnostic tools such as CAT Electronic Technician, SIS Web, and Cummins InsightAccreditation from a school of mechanics or 3+ years working with heavy construction equipmentDependability and reliability in showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for workPositive attitude to support productive working relationships with coworkers and managementWillingness to work in varying weather, noise, dust, and outdoor conditionsOvernight travel is not standard but may be requiredPhysical Requirements
