Senior Property Accountant

Parsippany, NY (Onsite- Fridays Remote!)

$110,000 - $125,000 base salary + discretionary bonus

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join our growing real estate team in Parsippany, NY. This onsite position plays a key role in managing the full-cycle accounting process for a portfolio of 3-5 commercial properties. The ideal candidate is an experienced, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) entries, and month-end close.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile property-specific financial statements, rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, and bank statements.
• Assist with or oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting for all assigned commercial properties.
• Collaborate with property management and leadership teams to analyze financial performance and drive efficiency.
• Provide audit support and assist with ERP and system implementations as needed.
• Work independently, demonstrating strong initiative and assertiveness.
• (Optional growth opportunity) Position may evolve to include team leadership responsibilities based on performance and workload capacity.
