Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Framingham, MA (zip : 01702) – Greater Boston area

Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit (8 beds + 4 triage rooms)

Contract Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 17 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Float Requirement : Float to Mother Baby Unit as needed

Charting System : Cerner EMR

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2310 - $2470

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Massachusetts or compact state

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Travel nursing experience preferred

Proficient in scrubbing and circulating for C-sections in the OR

Experience with Cerner charting system

Ability to float to Mother Baby Unit as needed

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a hospital setting

Circulate and scrub for C-sections and assist with deliveries

Monitor and manage patients with labor, ruptured membranes, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, and substance use disorders

Assist with special procedures such as amnioinfusion and external cephalic version

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to Mother Baby Unit as required for clinical support
