The Clackamas County Transportation Engineering and Construction Program Group is a collaborative and innovative team dedicated to delivering high-quality transportation projects. This group oversees nearly every phase of design and construction within the County's Five-Year Transportation Capital Improvement Program. Clackamas County manages an extensive and diverse transportation network that includes 1,400 miles of roads, 180 bridges, 8,100 culverts, one ferry, and a comprehensive system of sidewalks and bike lanes.
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and quality-driven Transportation Engineering & Construction Project Leader (classified as an Engineering Technician 4) with excellent communication skills to become a vital part of our high-performing team.
As the highest level in the Engineering Technician series, this role offers the opportunity to serve as a project manager for capital construction projects that enhance our community's infrastructure — from roads and bridges to stormwater drainage systems and traffic control devices.
If selected for this position, you will be responsible for leading or coordinating the design and construction of projects related to pavement rehabilitation and repair, guardrail and roadway safety improvements, stormwater drainage infrastructure improvements, and ADA ramp and sidewalk improvements. Additionally, you will serve as a project leader, managing consultants and coordinating between team members. You will have an opportunity to resolve technical problems, coordinate professional and technical staff, and make recommendations involving the most complex technical duties.

Annual Pay Range : $80,037.14 - $100,964.23
