Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) night shift position in California requiring a current CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of recent CTICU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a hospital
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Patients are pediatric cardiovascular and critically ill cases
  • Floating required to PICU and NICU units as needed
  • Weekend coverage required, with at least 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Uses EPIC EMR for documentation
  • First-time travelers welcome if experienced in CTICU
  • Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start
  • EPIC training included as part of onboarding
  • Requested time off must be pre-approved and included during initial consideration, with 5 days or less allowed
  • Locals are accepted for this position

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license in hand at the time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of recent CTICU experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • No previous permanent employment with the specified health system allowed
  • Must not have Nursys status issues
